In verse 50 from The Magical Jewel of Devotion in Kashmir Shaivism – Stava Cintamani, by Bhaṭṭanārāyaṇa, Swamiji explains that “The beginning of all activities and the end of all activities only shine in the cycle of the body of Your God consciousness“. And then “There is no joy more than the joy of Your devotion” (verse 51 of this devotional text of Kashmir Shaivism).
आरम्भः सर्वकार्याणां पर्यन्तः सर्वकर्मणाम् ।
तदन्तर्वृत्तयश्चित्रा-स्तवैवेश धियः पथि ॥५०॥
ārambhaḥ sarvakāryāṇāṁ paryantaḥ sarvakarmaṇām /
tadantarvṛttayaścitrā-stavaiveśa dhiyaḥ pathi //50//
O Lord Śiva, the beginning of all activities and the end of all activities only shine in the cycle of the body of Your God consciousness. So, whatever activity is done in this world, it is done in the kingdom of God consciousness. So, all activities and all perceptions, which we have, reside in That divine state, if there is Your grace.
यावदुत्तरमास्वाद-सहस्रगुणविस्तरः ।
त्वद्भक्तिरसपीयूषान्नाथ नान्यत्र दृश्यते ॥५१॥
yāvaduttaramāsvāda-sahasraguṇavistaraḥ /
tvadbhaktirasapīyūṣān-nātha nānyatra dṛśyate //51//
In this universe, uttaram āsvāda sahasara guṇa vistara, whatever joy is found in its uppermost limit in this world, whatever joy you find – the utmost joy (keep that on one side, that utmost joy) – and tvad bhakti rasapiyūṣāt, and the joy which is perceived by Thy devotion, that joy, if you multiply that one thousand times (that joy, the previous joy), it will be more than that, the joy of Your devotion [will be more than that]. This is what I have understood in this world. There is no joy more than the joy of Your devotion, Your love, Your attachment.107
