The philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism has aptly been described as – ‘The Mystical Geography of Awareness’. These teachings not only give a straight forward and clear explanation of the nature of reality, but also outline the means by which any individual can have the direct experience of this reality.

As a realized master Swami Lakshmanjoo (1907-1991) both understood and experienced the essence of this universal teaching. Throughout his lifetime he freely invited everyone to explore the means by which they could know their own divinity and fully recognize ‘The Mystical Geography of Awareness’.

This webinar series, designed for students of all levels, will be led by long time devotees John and Denise Hughes and George Barselaar. Each class lasts one hour and will include original audio lectures, clarifications, discussions and questions.

The structure of the webinar will feature original audio recordings of Swami Lakshmanjoo teaching seminal concepts of Kashmir Shaivism. This will include how to apply these teachings and techniques to your everyday life.

This immersion into the core texts of Kashmir Shaivism will include excerpts from Swami Lakshmanjoo’s published texts, as listed below, as well as passages from unpublished transcripts archived in the Lakshmanjoo Academy library, such as the Tantraloka, Spanda Karika, Spanda Sandoha, and others.

This six-week Webinar Study Group will run from: 

Sunday Oct 12th – Sunday Nov 16th, 2014.

Each class lasts one hour which will include original audio lectures, clarifications,  discussions and questions. They can be downloaded afterwards.

The teachers:

John and Denise Hughes

lived in Kashmir and studied under Swami Lakshmanjoo’s direction for twenty years. During that time they had the privilege of recording over 700 hours of audio and video of Swami Lakshmanjoo’s revelations. They have published eight seminal books on the subject of consciousness through the lens of Kashmir Shaivism.

George Barselaar

lived in Kashmir and studied with Swami Lakshmanjoo for ten years. He has worked closely with John Hughes on completing the Sanskrit/English transcriptions of all of Swami Lakshmanjoo’s recorded teachings. George has also studied the unique system of Kashmir Shaivite rituals and for the past 14 years has officiated at the annual celebration (yagya) of Swami Lakshmanjoo’s Mahasamadhi in Los Angeles.

By registering for this webinar you will receive the following:  pdf files and audio downloads of course materials, downloadable and streaming one hour webinar, which includes audio of Swami Lakshmanjoo, with life examples and clarifications made by the teachers,as well as relevant questions of students answered.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: If you have a computer with a broadband connection (320 kbps minimum), web browser, and sound capabilities (microphone and speakers or headset), you will be able to view the webinarand participate in the question-and-answer period.
