In this excerpt, from Abhinavagupta’s Bhagavad Gita revealed by Swami Lakshmanjoo, Chapter 13, verses 28-29, Swamiji talks about the real way of realization of reality in Kashmir Shaivism. This is from an unpublished audio recording and we included it in the Weekly Sangha #81 – Bhagavad Gita in the Light of Kashmir Shaivism, where you can learn more about the subject.

Chapter 13, verses 28-29
समं सर्वेषु भूतेषु तिष्ठन्तं परमेश्वरम् ।
विनश्यत्स्वविनश्यन्तं यः पश्यति स पश्यति ॥२८॥
samaṁ sarveṣu bhūteṣu tiṣṭhantaṁ parameśvaram /
vinaśyat-svavinaśyantaṁ yaḥ paśyati sa paśyati //28//
So the real way of realization of the reality – truth – takes place to that person who believes and perceives that, this whole universe along with prakṛti and puruṣa, takes place by the free will of Lord Śiva. And that puruṣa, ‘that individual’, never dies, Though he leaves his body, but he never dies, he is always alive. That is the real way of understanding.
By that understanding, he becomes jīvan mukta [liberated].
