Thank you for participating in the Birthday Celebration of Swami Lakshmanjoo

We thank everybody who attended the annual Birthday Ceremony for Swami Lakshmanjoo (online and in person) and made it a memorable event. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere created by the traditional recitation of mantras and chanting of ancient stotras (hymns) from Kashmir Shaivism.

The prashad (food blessed by the Master) of delicious traditional Kashmiri vegetarian food and sweets was relished by those who came in person.

Afterward, a small intimate group came together for the bi-annual four-day retreat to meditate and study audio and video recordings of Swamiji’s translation and commentary on Abhinavagupta’s Tantraloka, sixth Āhnika, the measurement of breath. The question and answers sessions which ran into many lively discussions were enjoyed by all. In the end, everyone appreciated these wonderful teachings which Swamiji has made available for those who have a sincere desire to study and understand the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism.
