Leave aside the functioning of your organs, be above the state of the organs, and you'll remain in your real nature of God consciousness. ~Swami Lakshmanjoo
“All these things happen in this world –pain, pleasure, sorrow, sadness, excitement– all those things…”. In this excerpt from the Vijnana Bhairava: The Manual for Self Realization, Swamiji reveals how to rise above it.

indriyadvarakam sarvam

itindriyani samtyajya
svasthah svatmani vartate // 136 //

This is the technique of shaktopaya ending in shambhava [state].

Indriya dvarakam sarvam sukha duhkhadi samgamam, when you find pleasure, you find pain; all these things happen in this world –pain, pleasure, sorrow, sadness, excitement– all those things. Indriya dvarakam, it is through your organs; it happens only through your organs. When your organs are functioning in a limited way, you find sometimes pleasure, sometime pain, sometime sorrow, sometime excitement, sometime ego, all this.

Iti indriyani, leave aside the functioning of your organs, be above the organs, be above the state of the organs, [and] svasthah svatmani vartate, you’ll remain in your real nature of God consciousness.

This is shaktopaya ending in shambhava [state].
This is also a technique of wisdom212 not a technique of sadhana.213 This is a sadhana in wisdom, in understanding, a practice in wisdom.

212. Mind and intellect
213. For example, not a practice involving the breath. [Editor’s note]

I am extremely impressed by how Lakshmanjoo Academy has kept Swamiji’s teachings alive. What I failed to understand when I attended some of discourses of dearest Swamiji with my parents as a child,I can now listen to them and understand them better. Thanks to your divine recordings.
