Considering what is going on in the world, we feel deeply inspired to offer a FREE weekly online sangha for everybody, to have a place to connect from anywhere in the world and meet as a community with the goal of uplifting humanity.
“Freedom from all our miseries can neither be obtained through the renunciation of the world, nor by hatred of this world, but by experiencing the presence of God everywhere.” ~Abhinavagupta
For this important venture, we have chosen the guidance of the Bhagavad Gita in the Light of Kashmir Shaivism as revealed (in video format) by Swami Lakshmanjoo. This was one of the last teachings Swamiji left with us before leaving this world.
WE WILL TAKE A BREAK ON MAY, 28th, after finishing the Bhagavad Gita and continue on the 4th of June, with the “Hymns to Shiva, Utpaladeva’s Shivastotravali”. This devotional text was much revered by Swamiji. Read more…
We hope you join us on Saturdays at 8 am Pacific Time, 11:00 am EST (New York), 4 pm GMT (London), 8:30 pm IST(India), 1 am on Sunday AEDT.

In the Bhagavad Gītā, Lord Kṛṣṇa (God incarnate) instructs his disciple Arjuna about the world and the nature of life. Why is our mind torn by conflicting duties and loyalties? What is the main purpose of our life? How are we to be freed from the pain and suffering we experience living in this world?
Swami Lakshmanjoo answers these questions by unveiling the heretofore hidden meanings contained within the Bhagavad Gītā. Swamiji tells us, “the freedom from all our miseries, as Abhinavagupta boldly declares, can neither be obtained through the renunciation of the world, nor by hatred towards this world, but by experiencing the presence of God everywhere.”
As a realized master Swami Lakshmanjoo (1907-1991) both understood and experienced the essence of this universal teaching. Throughout his lifetime he freely invited everyone to explore the means by which they could recognize and experience the reality of their own divinity.

Here’s our answer;
We meditate twice a day, watch our breath as much as we can, and follow the yamas and niyamas.

Hi John and Denise, Could you please elaborate a little on this. I am a very new comer. Do we watch our breaths just as they naturally flow? i.e. allocate a portion of waking awareness to observing the air coming in and out without consciously altering it? Also what are the yamas and niyamas that an aspirant should follow? I apologise for these very basic questions I am sure you’ve answered them a thousand times.

Hi Adam. Please join us for our Saturday Sangha as we discussed and practice meditation. Check our latest replay from last week and hear Swamiji explain it too. Another way to learn would be our very first class which is now available online as “Kashmir Shaivism and the Transformation of Light”. If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to contact us.

God helps even when it might take a quarter of century to feel His presence. He comes to the rescue of the tortured souls even if the only outlet left is to Surrender. Achieving that presence one is always in Gratitude.

Again another very potent context. I regret I did not know about this sooner. Each time I watch I have tears by the time the hour is up. Such memories are so precious to me. Remembering sitting in the tea garden with Swamiji. Thank you so much for sharing these moments with us. Corrine Goodman

Hi. I live in Canberra, Australia, and we follow Sydney’s time zone. It’d be 1 am on Sunday 29 Aug, which is an awkward time 🙂
I love the Bh Gita and I’d have loved to attend this webinar. Would it be possible to make recordings of the sanghas available for people like me in Australia/NZ ?
Thank you.
Warm regards and Om Namah Sivaya.
